Paul Alexander Smith

Paul Alexander Smith’s current work focuses on the segmented growth of forms found in nature, using the Japanese metalworking technique, Mokume-gane. Drawing inspiration from unusual segmented structures, such as mineral structures and succulent plants, he interprets and explores these forms through an intuitive process of making and design; thinking through making.
